Hello, I'm the Painter
My name is Victoria Freeman and I have loved all things art since my earliest memory. Growing up I didn't have access to paints, but I did have lots of paper and pencils, so I drew a lot. My grandmother once said to me,"Is that all you do is draw?"
I guess it was. Later on in life when I became a classroom teacher, I found myself mixing art projects with all the subjects. My classes were always creating something with me.
I actually didn't start painting until I retired from full time teaching. First I got involved with digital art when I took some classes at my local college. Creating digitally was new to me, and lots of fun, but I prefer picking up a brush and connecting with the canvas first hand. I have found that I love to paint, even if I have no idea what I will paint! I find it relaxing and peaceful, and creating something just produces joy in me. I feel that God gave me this desire and ability to share with others.
That being said, I now teach painting classes at my local senior center as well as a nearby school. I also enjoy teaching paint classes to large and small groups such as churches, schools, businesses, etc. If you would like more information about scheduling a class for your group, please do drop me a note on my contact page and I will get back with you. There is no obligation.
Thank you for stopping by!
